Hi, I’m Megan Nugent
I came to this work because I know what it feels like to carry wounds that others can’t see, and I believe with my whole heart that tenderness, the right tools, and a safe relationship can change everything.
I’m a licensed therapist specializing in complex trauma, dissociation, and relational wounding. Whether you’re navigating the aftermath of childhood experiences, relationship patterns that keep repeating, or a nervous system that’s been in overdrive for as long as you can remember, you’re in the right place.
—SPECIALIZING IN
When the past keeps showing up in the present
Complex Trauma
When the past still feels present, shaping how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.
Dissociation
When closeness, conflict, or disconnection can stir old patterns of fear, protection, or losing yourself.
Attachment Wounding
When you feel disconnected from yourself, your emotions, your body, or parts of your experience.
Nervous System Work
When your system is always on high alert, making it difficult to feel grounded, safe, or at ease.
— THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES
Therapy that goes beyond understanding why
Because insight is important…. but trauma healing often asks us to work with what lives beneath our every day awareness.
-
IFS invites you to get to know the different “parts” of yourself — the protectors & the ones that carry wounds — rather than shame them or push them away. At the center is your Self: wise, calm, and capable of healing.
-
Brainspotting uses the natural relationship between eye positions and the brain to locate and release trauma stored deep in the nervous system, often reaching places that words simply can’t.
-
Trauma doesn’t live in our thoughts. We’ll pay attention to what’s happening in your body and nervous system, building greater capacity to stay present, connected, and grounded in your experience.
-
KAP can create space to soften your typical protective strategies, step outside familiar patterns and connect with yourself in a different way. We find meaning in what emerges, and integrate it for lasting change.
